The best hands are based on the value of one or more cards in the hand, known as high cards and pairs. A high card is the highest card in the hand and a pair is two cards that are of equal value.<\/p>\n
A Full House is a hand of three cards of one rank and two cards of another. The value of the three cards determines rank within a Full House.<\/p>\n
Flushes are five cards of the same suit. The highest card in a flush beats the second highest, and so on until a winner is determined.<\/p>\n
If there are two or more flushes that tie, they are compared using the same rules as for High Cards. The second highest card in a flush beats the third, etc.<\/p>\n
The worst hands are those that start with a good hand and then are killed by an unlucky flop. For example, if you have A-K and the flop comes up J-J-5, you\u2019re out of the hand.<\/p>\n
The game of poker is a mental game, and it\u2019s best to play when you feel like you\u2019re in the right frame of mind.
